The Ghost of Your Kiss

Our silhouettes in gentle silence
For the sparks to ignite the roman candle of our love
The sweet embrace of your lips on mine
Is no more than a fool's fantasy now
The haunting, yet beautiful ghost of your kiss
Forever burned in desire's name
Etched deeply into the sanctuary of my heart
Patiently, I await the moment
When a remembrance of happier days
Causes you to return to my welcoming arms
That we may be united once again
Indelible, through the bonds of love.

I feel your pain, my friend. Both through this poem, and through real life. I too know the sting of being on lay-away, so to speak. Rember your pride, and I hope things work out.
