Revery

Contributed by wizard on Sunday, 13th August 2006 @ 02:15:19 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Today, the day of Heaven’s dream
As lonely visions cross the listless sky;
Or merely a day where beauty gleams
Cast upon a wandering eye

A docile soul in gentle sway
Has crossed this path again,
Endless dreams for another day
As happens now and then

A sunset glow torn asunder,
Another day…lost for love
Without a moment of solace under
The baneful rays shone from above

Sunset’s glow and dreams fade away
Across a jaded twilight sky,
With an intermittent chance which may
Hold a dream which for once shan’t die

Wonders seen by ones own eye,
Upon the heavens, we call the sky,
A beauty that is ours to see,
We gaze in wonderment at what it be.

This is so beautiful, and quite visual. Thanks for sharing. Sue x

Wow, Wiz.

I love this. I read it in silence and aloud and each time I did I liked it even more.

I think that the first and second stanzas are best.

Beautiful writing.

I agree with Kenmore on this one.
You did an excellent hod on this write.

A sunset glow torn asunder,
Another day…lost for love
Without a moment of solace under
The baneful rays shone from above

I just love that part
amazing

hugs

Listening to anyone's opinion on the matter is akin to wholeheartedly believing the weatherman on a daily basis. There will, undoubtedly, come a day when you're caught without your umbrella (for having anticipated clear skies) as a thunderstorm rolls in and changes everything. Those weatherman keep track of their accuracy rate, of course --- but I'm inclined to suggest it's their margin of error that offers hope. Invitably there will be that unpredicted rain.... and when it comes, ah!!! go right on ahead and dance in it, friend!

Drenched,
~Snem
