Array ( [sid] => 124183 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => That Cold March Day [time] => 2006-08-07 15:55:17 [hometext] => haven't posted a poem for a long while. a lot has been going on.. here is a poem i wrote thining back on that day i was raped. tell me what you think [bodytext] => fingers numb.
bright red ears.
leaves crunching beneath
our feet.
just you and i
having another sister
conversation--
i let down my guard
but only for a little bit.
we walked around the concrete
path in the park as we talked.
we talked of delaney
(she wasn't named back then).
i can't wait until she is born!
birth. . .such a beautiful word
of new beginnings and joy.
the wind started to howl.
i remember the bitter
cold as i break down
and tell you about
something
i lost that afternoon.
it wasn't the whole truth,
but just enough. . .
when delaney is born, do you
think i can be reborn with love
and forget what happened
on that cold march day? [comments] => 2 [counter] => 164 [topic] => 21 [informant] => justme03 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

it disturbs me that no-one has cared to comment on such a topic... i can relate unfortunatly... as sadly there are sick sad sad people in our world.. i hope you do find your "rebirt" quickly and peacefully it can take its toll when you never let go of a thing like that...! nice poem heartfelt
