past the broken smile
there's something missing, something misplaced
that had made everything seem worthwhile
Welcome to my nightmare...

see these teardrops burn my skin,
see the demon that lurks within,
see the mask upon my face,
see the scars that i embrace,
a broken tear
a fake smile
makes the thought of suicide
all the more worthwhile
echoes of broken promises then haunt me in my sleep,
the promises i believed... the promises you couldn't keep
Welcome to my nightmare...

This is my night
and this is my nightmare...
my reality becomes my dreams
where all is nothing and nothing is what it seems
welcome to my nightmare...
where the ones who have sinned cry and scream
they only do that... nothing in between

rectangular circles and broken smiles
that stretch a mile wide
footsteps etched in a bloody tide,
tell a story of her secret suicide
someone is calling my name somewhere distant
but someone is no one, whom is non-existant
that someone is you...
but now there's nothing i can do...
Welcome to my nightmare...

Forever your name is etched in my heart!
forever my darling,
until death do us part...

Welcome to my nightmare...

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
