Mr man was once so proud,
Mr man never cried out loud,
Mr man lost his job and his home,
Mr man had friends, but is now alone,

Mr man once had a wife,
A mortgage ,and no sign of strife,
His dream is gone, and also his life,
His future awry, his prospects rife,

Mr man he begs for money,
Once ate toast with lots of honey,
Mr man now eats from the bins,
Look at the outcome, that redundancy brings,

Mr man his clothes are in tatters,
But for him, surviving, is all that matters,
Mr man is still proud, but in order to survive,
He has to beg on the street to stay alive,

Mr man does not want to be here,
Mr man is scared and living in fear,
Who will care, if he dies in the night,
Just another statistic , gone from sight,

Mr man we should care for you,
You were unlucky, that is true,
We should not sneer, The reason why?
There but for the grace of god , go I [comments] => 4 [counter] => 193 [topic] => 32 [informant] => jerseysue [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 12 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

Amen to that -'judge not lest ye be judged' - but who of us would let a begger on the street into our homes? Still, everbody has a story. Well penned observations.
