She would come to my side but then would take flight.
A vision or a dream I really can’t say.
I longed for her touch each night and each day.
Her hair like dark ribbons that flowed to her waist.
Kisses so tender, like honey to taste.
Her eyes were like gems reflecting the light.
We became lovers there in the night.
Sweet touch of an angel caressing my skin.
My thoughts and desires, her heart I must win.
Like a ghost she would come, but it all seemed so real.
Dawn would come early, my lady to steal.
She whispered one night, have patience my love.
I reached out for her but she flew like a dove.
One lonely day as I sat by the sea.
I cried to the heavens, please send her to me.
As the sun drifted down leaving fire in the sky.
I know the angels heard my cry.
For as I walked home, feeling empty of heart.
In unbelief she was there, like a pure work of art.
This was my lady to come out of my dreams.
Could this be real, yes my heart screams.
Today we’re together my days are now bright.
She came to me from my dreams in the night.
