I had this terrible dream
that the whole world turned
into a metal jungle gym
and spires of the metal
poked holes in the clouds
and there were all of these
grey stone paths on the ground
and everyone was in colorful
metal boxes and they moved
a circle with their hands and
yelled at people to make the
four circles under the box turn
and move them all around the paths.
And they weren't very good at
moving the metal boxes and they
plowed down animals and children
every day and these terrifying people
in black robes with wands with
wooden hammers on the end
- they must have been sorcerers, mother -
and those sorcerers took away the
metal boxes from the people who
couldn't move them well.
And the people were very sad that
their metal box was taken so
the sorcerer put them in a cave with
carved walls so that it was a small square
and the people would be sad and stay there
for a very long time until their families came
with thin shiny rectangles and somehow
used the rectangles to get their family member out.
And mother, there were metal birds flying in the sky
and people would go into the bird and the bird would
go all sorts of places with the people, but sometimes
the bird would get tired and land, but
the people inside would die because the bird
I think forgot there were people in there.
And a lot of people had metal things that were
two rectangles put together and if the person
pulled on a little lever the metal thing
would spit out a smaller metal thing that went very fast
and went into people and they died.
And people did this to other people.
They would get very angry and yell things at each other
and then one person would use a metal thing to make
the other person die. And that was the worst part I think.
And mother, there was more, but I'm tired and
I don't want to think about it anymore. It was
the worst dream I ever had.

Goodnight mommy." [comments] => 1 [counter] => 244 [topic] => 8 [informant] => Eve [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => AmericanTragedy )
