Waiting for the chance,
To turn my life full circle,
And find again romance,

Alone at night, I see in dreams,
The things I surely miss,
The passion and the partnership,
The sweet taste of a lovers kiss,.

But memories they hold me back,
For my love for you was true,
And if I found another,
Would it mean I''m over you,

So solitude is the cross I bear,
Am I just selfish or uncaring,
Did death make me so bitter,
For his heart on my sleeve I''m wearing,

So in solitude I spend my days,
Waiting for a chance,
To turn my life full circle,
I hope one day to find romance.

Very insightful on the implications of opening our hearts after loss and grief - we do indeed feel we might be betraying the memory of another if we let go and reattach. We're a funny lot, that's for sure.
