[time] => 2003-02-10 22:00:00 [hometext] => Whats a mother to do when your sons been hurt by one of his friends (Fondling), & it hurts you so badly beyond compare? I wrote this for my 6 year old son! [bodytext] => Is there ever such a thing of loving to much,
holding your children too tight,
embracing the strength of a mothers touch,
to help get you through the night,

I am at loss with words my son,
I should have been there to protect & guide,
I am hurt by what to you was done,
now I know why you have lied,

just six years old & going through this,
how could this be,
all the signs a mother did miss,
just is sick to me,

Why did'nt I watch out more,
why did'nt I see your pain,
all that went on behind the closed door,
makes me go insane,

I'm sorry mommy was'nt there for you,
but I am here now,
this isnt something you should go through,
I'll put a stop to it some how,

He will never hurt you again,
for his touches were wrong,
to think he was your friend,
I cant imagine what went on,

I cry for you,my pain is deep,
What can a mother say,
Its so hard to get any sleep,
since I found this out the other day,

I want to hold you till you grow,
& protect you from all that will harm,
now that mommy does know,
theres no need to be alarm!

You really shouldn't kick yourself. Be glad that you know now. Your son will most likely be very open with you now. It's hard, but I'm sure your heart knows what to do...

Christina - I'm so sorry for you and your son. My son is 7 and I would be feeling the same way. Thank goodness he was able to tell you. Great poem.

You are truely a great mother never feel that you are to blame for not being ther for your son when it happened. I speak as one that was victimized by my own father in sexual abuse at the time i was only 8 years old i didn't have the courage to tell my mother till i was 19. Even then her words still ring true in my ears as all she said is oh he did this to you, no comfort no i'm sorry i wasn't there for you, no support or comforting words. I am so glad that your son has you there now for moral support and that he had faith enough not to be victimized by this predator that probably tried to say don't tell mummy or this might happen like my father did to me. Supprt him with all the cuddles a mother can give and all the words of wisdom too don't let him grow up too quickly because of what has happened as i had to do...... btw great poem
