Felling numb in the knowledge that somehow I have lost my way..
Can a person live so long without sweet blessed love? , left cold and lifeless as a shell, washed faceless and featureless by the waves, dissowned upon some dusty shelf.
Where did I go wrong? why do I continiously recite this woeful song.
Are old romantics doomed to die, their life to end under a lonely sky, and though I gave so much love and joy away, why then must I sit in sadness today, nothing returned....
Deep coarse lines now etched across my brow, where my eyes are now red raw from the sea of tears I have shed, and thoughsome warmth and hope I strive to find, my wound is too deep and my heart now feels dead.
Sleep, eternal sleep, my only comfort.. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 186 [topic] => 48 [informant] => PatchAdams [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

I'd like to say I know what its like, but it's a little more cliche`than I'm going to allow myself. I do think old romantics have lived out there time, being one myself, and I dont think Ive heard the feeling described more perfectly. An excellent job.
