Believe me boy, I know,
I’ve seen the way it twists and turns,
I’ve walked it, long ago,
You’re not the first to hunt it,
Though who knows where it might lead,
Your virtue’s in your honesty,
So don’t give in to greed,
Whatever God there is above,
Has put you to the test,
Never believe you’re sure of the answers,
Or that you know best,
The world you live in is fragile,
It can be pulled under your feet,
You could lose all that you love,
And be left to walk the street,
Cold and damp and lonely,
No place to call your home,
Sleeping by the wayside,
Hurting; on your own,
Hold on to your morals,
For they shall keep you warm,
Don’t be flattered by the smiles,
Of those who mean you harm,
Seek out the truthful voices,
Speaking words that ring true,
Listen to their wisdom,
But don’t forget your view,
Though others offer guidance,
Still follow your heart,
For that incessant, repeating beat,
Has been with you from the start. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 198 [topic] => 21 [informant] => Ruby2sdy [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

Never have I seen truth written as it is, You caprured the real essence of life , its ups and downs, Its highs and lows. A truly wonderful write. What a pleasure it was to read it. An inspirational piece. Sue x
