brushing softly, my shoulder by the water
at nights edge, where scenes of peace
turn eventually, to slaughter..
and my mind, cerise.

Sometimes, he will talk to me;
his voice mummering
all the commotion in my mind-
begging me to delay my final choice
and I do not obey..
though he is wise and kind.

He shall choose the last, long pain for me
and knows what must be done.. my conscience.

It is not treachery,
our understanding is free~
It is no will of his or mine, but rather,
the timeless tyranny
of things ordained..
making life seem death
and love reflected hate;
my heart full of sacrifice, unsustained..
and so long a wait ensues,
till I see my conscience at the gate.

Well, this is a little different.

I must confess, I don't know what to make of this. Obviously you have a problem listening to your conscience (bad billy :P ) but why?

Maybe you gotta figure that out.

Of course, I may have this wrong, and may be speaking a ton of rubbish.

Whatever else, I hope you are all right, and know that the answer with probably come in time.

Good write.

*hugs*

'Tis not for me to wonder why, but to read your lovely poem and then shy. I really enjoyed your reasoning on this one. I'm not aware of the situation, but when you're conscience is your guide..........I know you will do right.
Good Luck
Good poem

Conscience, is like that GUT feeling......go with what it tells you, and not what you might have at the moment.! Unless.....its a bad, feeling, or something that causes, harm.! YOU can not ever be persuaded with words, its the "inner" that needs to be the guide. Yes, words are wonderful at times, and they can be heard.yet they have to be felt, and listened to too. With the inner, only , YOU can make a decision.....and it may hurt, in the long run at first, yet things ALWAYS happen for a reason. Hope you use your conscience, wisely. Always a friend here, to listen when needed.

Brew~

A battle of will or of the mind? Or is it a battle between the will and mind ...

I feel a struggle ... a tortured struggle in this .. it is not with heavy hearts
that we find our way, dear Billy, but with lessons in hand and the
undeniable love and truth in our otherwise predestined lives, that we
see the clarity. Choices are seldom easy and our conscience knows
this. That, I believe, is cause for the struggle. Your heart and soul are
beautiful and they know what you want. If I can offer but one piece
of advice, (and forgive me for being so bold), trust in them.

This piece, so painfully and courageously transcribed, still carries
with it a light. A light that shall not be extinguished, methinks.

Your depth is astounding and your insight so very astute!
Exceptionally conveyed as well..

XO

Hey B~
Once again I have found myself gracing your pages after a short absence only to be blown away with it's incredible contents.
Geez, Billy~ where do I start?
From what I make out from ur write, it's as if you are struggling within yourself my dear friend. Life throws at us many trials and the choices we make aren't always right, but one thing I have personally learnt from experience. Is to trust my conscience and gut feelings. You are an extraordinary guy Billy~
Start believeing in yourself there is so much more to you my dear friend. May you overcome whatever it is that is weighing you down. I have faith in you my friend and you've got what it takes.
"Seek the good within you
Cast the clouds from your sky
Don't look toward the pavement
But hold your head up high"
Let your conscience be your guide dearest Billy~
Take care my dear friend and may ur days ahead be much brighter.
love, hugs n prayers,
Dreamer~

It is a funny thing to be conscious of said conscience. And to relish in it until it steers you wrong. Even then, who knows.

Nice as always

a moving piece, bro...seems to me to be a sort of struggle with a suicidal intention, and your consciense trying to talk you out of it....but seems it may have actually talked you into it? this really kept me thinking

a conscience if a bit of an enigma, in that it is there to keep us on the straight and narrow, but can be the very thing that drives us crazy...(although, i , personally, have been crazy for a time..lol).. anyway...i hope all is well with you...i'm here for ya bro...

btw, i must say...i agree with brew completely...;)

peace,

wiz
