Withheld eventuality
I called you here to know your will
To search your heart, to test your skill
And one day meet you face to face
To seek you as my saving grace

I closed my eyes to never see
The nothing you’d unmask in me
But silently I prayed you’d find
The pieces that I left behind
And conquer trials I could not face
To beg you, be my saving grace

Then faith was shattered, hope was gone
Your ignorance was waited on
I prayed, I know, a broken prayer
That you would fight for what was fair
And one day know it was my face
That sought you as my saving grace

Though everyday I should have known
That through it all my strength had grown
I always had the choice to fight
This is my chance to make it right
Because each trial is mine to face
I choose to be my saving grace

Now, I'm not saying this just for the sake of saying it, but without a doubt this is the best thing I've ever read from you. Honestly, it's really something. The stanzas are intricate, the rhymes didn't sound forced, the ideas behind it seem so strong, and you paced it extremely well. Bar none, this is the best. I don't know how many ways I can say that, lol but it is. Congratulations, you should really be proud of this one.

It is not the poem alone , which is quite good I think , but the combination of poem and your choice of name which gave me chills.
unbreakable-- I love to see a warrior fight their way through hell and survive stronger than ever. inspired , truly , doug

Honestly.. I only came to this, by your name alone..
"Unbreakable"
and after reading this, I can see why, you are,
who you say, you are.
(though I remember you from times passed)

final two lines for me..

"Because each trial is mine to face
I choose to be my saving grace"

Most can only hope to ever gain such courage and self esteem my friend-

Billy
