but some time, on some gracious shore,
thou shalt lie still and ebb no more.

A very beautiful write. Loved the imagery and the analogy used here.

This is beautiful, simplistic, nastalgic, and all
of what could be exspected when one writes of that noble lady call the sea, and when refering so gracefully to her attributes. of far of yesterday and distant lands. But why not my new england bretheren. A most enjoyable write 2 read. well done. *****

What a lovely little poem! Thoroughly enjoyed it, it's a visual treat, that's for sure! It was like putting my ear to a sea-shell, in order to conjure the sound of the waves... lovely,

Sweets ... first I have to say I love the rhyme scheme. Brilliantly unique.

On it's own this would stand as a lovely piece of poetry .. so beautiful it all it's
imagery. But, for the topic it lies beneath, I have to say, the metaphor is breathtaking,
and somewhat surprising. It would have never occured to me to liken the everchanging
tides to mean something so supposed. But that is some of the wonder about you and
your work. It forever causes thought and fascination in me. Such incredible depth do
you possess.

The last line ... to me, (in keeping with the metaphor) is filled with a reverent hope. And
one that I know you shall not be disappointed by ...

Beautiful, as always ...

Love,

~Breezy
