Tis just a number I reply,
For life it has been kind to me,
My body has not let me down you see,

My laughter lines are so many,
The grey hairs now are sprouting,
I am not getting any younger,
But no, you won't hear me shouting,

For the lines show I have lived my life,
And the crows feet show I had fun,
And the frown lines on my brow they show,
That of botox I have had none,

So maybe I am old to some,
An old banger and not a porsche,
But who wants plastic surgery,
Just to be a good looking corpse,

So what money I have,
I will spend it living well,
So do I think I'm old?
Do I flaming hell.

You are young indeed. I like this poem , I like the way you think. Age is frightening to those who would conform to traditional reading habits. I , however , am an individualist and being so I take the liberty to read from right to left as is my preference therefore in my world you are only 25. In my world there is also much medication . indeed , take care , doug

Ha! nice ending, Sue. I thought people were supposed to give you presents, and instead you give us this wonderful poem.

Aging wine or fresh rose - who gives a diff if you are a warm and giving person like yourself. I'm 44 and sometimes feel younger and older. There is a definite line you feel you cross at certain times in your life - when that particualr zest or capacity has gone for good - but there is so much more left!

A big kiss and hug from Downunder on your birthing day. I wish you all the best.

Spike

great! someone once said age is a matter of mind over matter. If you don't mind it don't matter. And you obviously bieleive that!
