Let's sit this one out
And forget about this world for tonight
Let's give our hope to tomorrow
Set our sights on a new day
A time to be who we are
A time to stay that way

Do it for us, child
Only you can save us now
With help from you
With help from me
We can find the way how
To make the perfect place to live our dreams

So sit by me by the fire, child
And we'll share stories of the heartache that lingers
In hope that we can love later

Let me wipe those tears child
Morning will come soon
