If I could bear down on labyrinthine time
To clamp vagabond chromosomes that betrayed
Who mutated me into this shy caricature
Displaced in the womb of an arrogant surrogate
Faceless to this world of masked players
Spurned for my eagerness to give and to please
Vying for my space in the face of hostility
Beating a hasty retreat from worldly ways
Cowering to contempt, straining at shackles
To be birthed again on a friendly lap
And know the warmth of a mother’s breast
For a childhood nourished with love’s wisdom
And eased gently to cryptic destiny
Lay a check on my frenzied DNA
Let me straddle confidence that this world laps up
Make me belong like the communal thespians
Who don clever masks that’s credence to victory
Lay a wish on my pre-birth pillow
Lock it away and hide it from my karma…

fantastic turn, straight away there, in the second stanza - stark in contrast to the 1st-
undeniable vocabulary and brilliant word-usage
made this very easy on the eyes..
