what do you believe you could do?
Suppose you could be like Mother Teresa,
giving love and care to the unwanted and dying; ...
you, ... with your burdens, fears, and failures, ...
you, ... who has thought of yourself
more than you cared for your brothers.
With God in your life, would you have such passion for lost souls
that you could and would preach like a Billy Graham?
Deep in poverty, or uneducated, or a social outcast, ...
are you unbeautiful to the human eye?
Perhaps you are crippled or sick, ...
rejected or treated as a freak;
do you think The Creator made a mistake?
Ah! You see in yourself nothing of value.
You don't have the mind of God;
you don't know what He has planned for you to do.
You can't see what our Lord sees in you.
With God in your life, good things await, ... shall becken you.
Do you know that Jesus died on a cruel cross for you and me?
Would you or I have the faith, the love, the courage
to die that painful way for anybody?
With God in your life,
what might you be able to do?
Would you be willing to die in a time of opportunity?
Would you be willing to live a life of sacrifice
if God would call you to serve humanity?
Would you willingly go to war
for the sake of your people and country?
Would you be humane?
Would you be civil and kind?
Would you treat your prisoners mercifully?
With God in your life,
would you be willing to defend victims of another country's conflict?
Or, for conscience sake; could you resist the war to stand for right?
Could you endure the jeers and judgement of your peers?
Would you pray for the souls of your enemy each night?
If God is with you,
what are you willing to do?
Would you share your bread with the hungry?
Would you shelter the homeless and clothe the naked?
Would you love with patience the adulterer, the homosexual, the liar?
With God in your life,
how far would your forgiveness go?
If someone offended you, hurt you, humiliated you, ...
would you retaliate?
Would you think of God and others before you'd react?
'Though you don't understand the deed, are you able to let it go?
Think to do as the Lord has taught you so.
To God, it's not so important to save you from hurt vanity.
Later, you'll understand that you did right;
you'll have that bit of dignity.
When God is in your life,
when the time comes, you'll know how to do God's will.
You'll know, ... whoever you are, wherever you are.
Made by Our Creator, both, alike and unique, are we.
We are ... whom we are, as He equipped us to be.
What matters is whether we have an attitude of gratitude.
It's finding renewal in God's forgiveness.
It's being willing to follow Jesus.
As we think on the price Christ paid to redeem us,
faith opens our eyes to the love He has for us.
Opportunities to serve Him surround us all the while.
Would you be willing to walk an extra mile?
Could you be nice to your cranky neighbor
who would likely not thank you or offer a smile?
When God is in your life,
you'll not keep score of what I've done for you
compared to what you've done for me.
Could you live each day
aiming to love God and give to humanity?
You might affect each person you greet
with a few moments of feeling happy.
You could speak a cheery, Good morning!
You could give someone a little hug and a friendly smile.
You could cause a change just because you said a prayer.
You could lighten the day with some fun in a game you play.
Don't be concerned whether you receive recognition, ...
whether your work comes lightly or by a heavy burden.
You may be designed for small deeds to be daily done ...
over long and arduous years.
Do not prefer courageous deeds for the rewards of honor upon you.
Would you, because of the love of God that is in you
be willing to do work that is tiring and boring?
Would your heart be ready if God calls you
to do the painful and fearful things?
If God is in your life, ...
'Though you be bedfast and dependent on what others will do,
The Lord will use you, too.
If God is with you,
He knows when you are willing.
He will call on you often
for the kind and loving, godly things
you will be able to do.

Great content well written. truly inspirational.

I firmly believe by helping others, we are in fact helping ourselves.

Love thy neighbour.

Treat others as we would like to be treated.

Thanks for sharing this with us.

God Bless You.

Hugs from Doug
