Fear

Contributed by Jeff_Scott_Morehead on Monday, 10th February 2003 @ 12:40:00 AM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

I'm going live my life, like every days the last,
Not giving another thought of my life of the past.
I'm going to store my emotions away in a jar,
And up on a shelf, I'll hide it far.
Away from the light, away from my view,
Just far enough away, to start anew.
Glorious day with the sun shining bright,
Breathe in the fresh air, I think I might.
Allow pleasant thoughts to run through my mind,
Leave my options open to see what I might find.
In the smiles of the people I pass on the street,
One never knows to whom one might meet.
A teacher, a Preacher or maybe a Friend,
Who will stand by you to the bitter end.
Of the world, and all it has to offer to you,
Can't allow fear to guide you through.
