Array ( [sid] => 12316 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => No compensation for the Ugly [time] => 2003-02-09 23:40:00 [hometext] => I wrote this poem when I was in a very very bad mood [bodytext] => In a world full of imperfections
That always demands absolute perfection
It’s hard to deal with such contradictions
Where madly seeking beauty is an addiction.

The sense of ugliness is everywhere
Yet adoring beauty prevails
Still beauty is not found anywhere
Only in illusive fairy tales.

In a world full of demeaning confusion;
You who are ugly, must live your reality
Stop chasing an unattainable illusion
Remain ugly and get used to brutality.

But true ugliness isn’t only about your looks,
It’s feeling ugly, neglected, lonely, and small,
Cold, criticized, and having no friends but books.
Waiting for a miracle, an unexpected phone call.

Feeling ugly is far more complicated than just being ugly
It’s when your desperate in the mid of a cheering celebration
Feeling unworthy of praise because you believe you are ugly
With your beloved family and friends, but it’s no compensation.

This is me...this is how I feel
Ugly and awful no matter what others say
Full of wounds that no one can heal.
For me, tomorrow is not a better new day!

So true, and beautiful people on the outside, are usually far more ugly on the inside than those on the outside.
