~
Sometimes a plain brown wrapper,
Doesn’t reveal what’s on the inside.
Behind the folds and graphics,
The true ingredient hides.
It’s not until you open it up,
Does the truth finally show,
Soon you will discover,
What few others know.
Some of the most favorable contents,
Are hid behind this shield.
Never ever getting the chance,
To show off it’s build.
Not everything behind a plain brown wrapper,
Gets its day to shine.
Too often we choose what’s in the open,
Failing to take the time.
Even the best of ingredients,
Will wilt and lose its color.
If left unattended,
The thought makes me shutter.
~
I know of too many behind that plain brown wrapper,
Who stand alone in the back of the shelf.
Afraid to be noticed,
Jeopardizing their mental health.
C’mon out C’mon out,
Your beauty you should not hide,
Even plain brown wrappers,
Have worthy things inside.

And don't the best things come in small packages? Small brown ones, like my bargain mp3 player off ebay! Loved the poem dude, really different from the other stuff on this site. ACE!

Thrice Amen.
Reminds me of :
"Can anything good come out of Nazareth?
the unschooled son of Joseph?

This poem really deserves three Kudos, for exposing the dullness of the wise and confounding the latter.
Great Job Jeff
