[bodytext] => Who’s the victim Little boy shot 7yrs old in the middle of the block The loudest talking neighborhood But quiet when the cops….. Enter the scene Not a word spoken, nothing seen? Everyone in disbelief A mother on knees My soul unease from her screams Caught by some thugs bullet A youth taken away A broken family is consoled in their dismay A drug war, gang violence, or just a random act? Teddy bears and candle, a father holds back….. His tears Family cries for witness, seems no one cares Mrs. Ida, sit on the stoop every day Wont speak in fear This street is filled with kids! he couldn’t have been the only one there Curtains start closing doors begin to shut All this? And for what? A passer by tells me “ we keep our mouths shut” How did it get to this position? I read his t-shirt.. ”stop snitch’n” (he say’s) no one wants to be known as a snitch or a rat This is a life ! Words can catch the killer but never bring him back (my final plea) You don’t have to snitch, but please “TELL” Next time could be your tears As people watch you plead and yell!
