Lifepoems
|
When I awoke, the dawning of my days,
I did not know of life's peculiar ways.
Nor how the light upon the water plays,
as it caresses mother natures breast.
Ripened, I dove into the limpid pool,
and lavished in it's sensual essence, cool
and sleek, against my youthful skin. A fool
was I to cup my hands and drink it's zest.
But, still I wait below the waterfalls,
for it's fragrant sweet nectar to me calls.
He beckons me escape my rugged walls,
and let his joy drop on my bosom rest.
Now that I'm in the season of my years
I watch the sunlight play upon my tears.

I love the rhyme scheme.
It also flows and tumbles along like a stream or waterfall itself!
Well done! |
