Hell on earth, I heard one say,
I didn't want to live in that situation,
But I could not walk away.

My parents did what they had to do,
My siblings lived just like me,
But there was something special,
A gift that GOD gave to me.

I opened up the gift box,
That was wrapped in love one day,
My eyes widened with shock,
Then I heard what God had to say.

I love you my child,
I have loved you since the start,
There is no one that can take you,
From my heart.

The gift that He gave me,
I still long to make it right,
To hold on to every word,
When things aren't going right.

But I can remember the gift of love,
I can hold it close to me,
I can lean on it forever,
For all eternity.

I know someone loves me,
No matter what I do or say,
Because God gave me that gift,
So long and far away.

I am happy and so pleased,
At the fact that I will be o.k.
Because of the love that He gives,
To my life in every way.

look back and see what I've been through,

Unconditional Love

But I can remember the gift of love,
I can hold it close to me,
I can lean on it forever,
For all eternity.
