Cosy fires with ingle nooks,
Fresh mown grass, fields of wheat,
Daisies in abundance at my feet,

Still water streams, Oceans blue,
New born lambs, Morning dew,
Sweet birdsong, Sun shining bright,
Twinkling stars in the sky at night,

Childrens laughter,Golden sands,
Lovers walking hand in hand,
Bees a buzzing overhead,
The smell and taste of fresh baked bread,

Most of these are ours for free,
These beautiful things for us to see,
So drink in the beauty for a while,
And you will also wear a smile.

You just inspired me to smile, Sue, through every line of this magnificent write imagining your sweet "miner's daughter's" English accent. Good work and I'm still smiling.

Amen, sister, wearing a big smile. Each and every thing you mentioned in your post I just adore, and a flood of images came to me with each descriptive phrase. Thanks for raising my spirits on this cold winter's night.
