me submerine

When I was seven I had a dream,
I'd sail away on me submerine,
Id go to planet Zog, Id meet with captain Nog,
and be a big hero like He Man.

Every night me ma would lay me down and brush away that sorry frown,
shed say boy dont fret, the world will see your best in time.

Well its ten years on and Im seventeen,
I no longer have that submerine,
Ive got a rock roll band and a girl to hold my hand,
and Im drinking in the park with all my mates.

And as i bounce along that country road heading home to lay my head,
I smile a bit and say hey boy dont fret the world will see your best in time.

Well aint it funny how it changes when you hit twenty five
and your staring down the barrel of a normal nine to five.
Every where you look they're creeping up your spine,
plugging you into the one communal line.

so when i lay awake, worried state, whats to do,
I ask myself again hey boy whens the world going see your best.
Now to tried too think i close my eyes to sleep and slip right back.
I sailed away, I saw planet Zog I met with captain Nog and well what did you know im a hero like He Man!

Dreams keep us alive.
