Thinking of millions down thru time
Gave their lives for freedom, yours, mine.
To families suffering much loss
All our soilders fight at any cost.

Here it is again we clebrate
To keep free our grand USA.
Spent a quiet day alone.
In reverence to our soilders gone,
or at home.

In honer we proudly, strongly stand
For rights given by God's hand.
To all who only have memories divine
Be proud they sacrifice so very kind.

For Jimmy, Jerry, happy holler gang
They fought long-n-hard in Viet Namn.
Their code of ethics ring, loud, clear
In love they fought for freedom here.

To all our brave soilders fighting alone
May God bring you all safely home.
In reverence to all freedom rings!
Spent this day alone but my heart sings.

God bless our Planet and God continue to Bless our home sweet home United States of America it's Independence day.

Very well done. I also have put down my "two cents" worth (called Representation Under the Flag). If you have the time, stop by and read it. Nothing but respect and admiration are what our soldiers deserve. That and to never have to go to war again. Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece. Your job has been done well. wrdz

This is a beautiful tribute to all the fallen hero's of your country. This is significant for me because sometimes people outside the states, including me, only see the cold militant and govermental part of the country, and sometimes forget that there are real people behind all of that.

Great work ems

How lovely, thoughtful this poem written by a great poetess. This years celebrations was very lovely, on top of the mountain the sky rich in colors, listening to the sounds of our country ring out its freedom, God stands to defend our country and all nations. Thank you for this beautiful poem, it touched my heart deeply.
