I stumbled through the darkness with my life unread.
The book of misconceptions is open and is covered with my name.
The road I travel is under a deep night sky filled with shame.

Not a star will shine upon me.
Not a dream has come to be.
Tears have stopped flowing for I fear I have none anymore.
In my heart the weakness that tells me I have nothing to live for.

The water flowed over my skin.
The blood was nothing but the pain from within.
There I stood, praying I wouldn't be broken.
The tears fell for each word I left unspoken.

The ground I fell upon for my knees went weak.
The strength I used to have has now gone meak.
So here I am just trying to face the life I made.
I made it this way, so difficult as it continues to fade.

The dreams I broke; the fires I refuse to put out.
Something happened and I lost all I knew life was about.
I can't stand here any longer; not with all this pain.
Now it's time I let go and be lost to the blood red rain. The shadows fell; the sun set over my head.

Your pain is almost palpable, very well written indeed, hang in there, some of us have to go thru that extra bit of darkness and despair in life, life needs people like us though, to absorb imbalances...
