My skills with words are limited but i as a person that studies song lyrics and meanings very closly i was able to sit down and use the words of song artists i study and admire. [bodytext] => A Proud Man Walks by Scott J.R Temple

A Proud Man Walked today,
A walk of life taken alone
To grace the dawn of new beginning
Down the shinning paths of stone
Time no longer matters, possessions now just a brand
Our proud man is walking kidnapped to the promise land.

Want to get out but miss your sense around,
It all seems to quiet now, not a laugh, not a cry not a sound
Inside just pale walls of routine
A view of only air where life should be.
Where is our proud man, how can he be seen?

Life now gives stale taste of void
Everything of meaning feels completely destroyed
The sunshine it fades away,
Syllables have now disappeared,
All can see that its true
No ghost among us just a reflection of you.

Sleep can’t hide the thoughts splitting through my mind
No more can I grieve, fantastic memories I have to find.
Repeated Words from you once stroked,
But now bruise tired lips
These highest thoughts of you,
As high as mountain tips.

Future hopes and dreams lay bursting at the seems
But our proud mans walk will reach an end
His spirit, presence and feeling still to lend
This proud man has risen and its set
This proud man we will never forget

This poem found special meanings for me; my Granddad also passed away recently, but you have succeeded where many have failed in creating a tribute fitting of a man who must have been loved very much. Thank you so much for sharing something so personal, and your comment does not do you justice, my friend you definitely have a way with words!

Keep Smiling,

Tuesday x

My Grandad passed away some years ago now, but this helped remind me of him.
Very moving, a perfect tribute
Steve
