on the sunsplashed afternoon stern;
the shimmering-blue cloak of Stellwagen around me..
reassembling my mind sweet and sure
in a season gone beserk with a frantic pace
under the fire of a quater past three..
thinking myself free~

sipping briefly the peace of sustenance
passing from hand to hand my ragged smoke
under that improbable sky..
making a brilliant sunburst of shimmering wave:
'the running of the buffalo'.. in a maritime way.

I thought in the moment brave foolish things about myself
dissecting with marvelous dexterity the truth,
while vain and glorious-
drifting:
the sparkling Atlantic glaze~

..only later did I remember the gull
screeching and aloft
shadowing the sun.

(how lucky are you?)

shimmering oceanic waves dancing in the sunlight do
bring about a most pleasing inspiration, yes?

Not to mention a stirring of emotion .. which, in itself, is
an incredible gift. To feel .. convivial is grand .. even
lonesome is at least better, [to me] than stoic. It relishes
the fact that you are alive enough to enjoy unrecognizable
and shadowed beauty .. and then painstakingly point
it out and share through these gentle writes.

Stunning descriptions sweets. Beautifully poetic in every way ..

~Breezy

Stunning write here Billy!

You are most certainly one of a few poets on here whose work I envision reading in a book of fine poetry one day....no joke. You have great skill, and reading your writes is always a pleasure, no matter the tone of the piece, or subject...well done.

Billy~
WoW, brings on such a quiet and tranquil feeling inside ones self. I could just picture you Billy~ looking over the shimmering blue waves under that improbable sky. That is when one has time of think of what lays in his heart. You get taken away in the moment and brought back by the screehing gull that shadows the sun. Such beautiful imagery u cast into the readers head.
A marvelous masterpiece penned by the very talented and gifted Billy~ Keep up the extraordinary work ~*WK*~
love n hugs from ur fan/friend,
eternal dreamer
