The man that she adored,
Caring and kind, loved her for her mind,
But he left her because he got bored,

She was a beauty, a looker, so sweet,
The girl he met at the dance,
She talked of nature, and all living things,
But romance never stood a chance,

He tried to court her, woo her you know,
But she just wanted to talk,
When he wanted to kiss, she would resist,
And suggested they go for a walk,

He talked of them being together for life,
She suggested she was too young,
He gave her a ring, a lovely blue thing,
But on her right hand she put it on,

He decided then, this romance was a sham,
So he took to the hills on his own,
She was boring and chilling, most unwilling,
She deserved to live life all alone,

She fretted and cried ,,when her lover had gone,
For with hindsight, she knew it was true,
Admitted to all, that she loved her man so.
But now she was incredibly blue,

So parted they were, him bored and rejected,
Her sorry to have missed her chance,
So if love comes your way, grab it I say,
For we all need a little romance.

Sue~
A clever and most enjoyable poem you have here. I agree with you so much when you say,
So if love comes your way, grab it I say,
For we all need a little romance.
Yes one is fortunate if they find such a true love. Well done Sue~
warm hugs,
