Violent world turned serene
A view of my life
That I hope turns supreme
Damaged scarred insides that heal over time
There’s no turning back
But I return to the scene of the crime
Over and over, thoughts play in my head
16, and desperate
and wishing me dead
12 years have passed
A success in life
But still wounding myself
With my memory’s knife
Bitter and vengeful
I want them to pay
It’s wrong logically, but it won’t go away
The more things I accomplish
The rage starts to boil
The voice screaming failure
Puts me in turmoil
What will it take, to kill you in my dreams?
When my poetry is written
From laughter…not screams

To dream is an illusion
Violent world turned serene
A view of my life
That I hope turns supreme
Damaged scarred insides that heal over time
There’s no turning back
But I return to the scene of the crime
