Array ( [sid] => 122243 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The Red Knight [time] => 2006-06-24 18:24:32 [hometext] => I selected this to be my first entry cause i think its my best so far, if u disagree when i post other please tell =D [bodytext] => There once was a red knight,
Who approached a king,
He said, “Give me the power, or ill take your queen!”
The queen was missing,
She had been for weeks,
The king faltered as he fell to his knees,
“What do you want? My money? My fans?”
“No” said the knight “ I want your lands”,
And so the knight received the throne and the court,
“Yes!” he said, “It’s mine, with all the forts!”
Little did he know the deal was a scandal,
The country was in ruins and the forts were in shambles,
As invading armies came from each direction,
The red knight yelled, “I’ll have an election!”
He thought that would fix it,
He thought people would rise,
“Tare down the armies!” he said,
“And we’ll reach for the skies!”
But no one came and no one held a care,
For the land was desperate and the crops were spare,
The country fell without a fight,
But he snuck out before,
In the dead of night,
“Off to a new country!” the red knight said,
But the people caught him,
And it was off with his head.

Very clever... I like this a lot... It shows great promise if this is only your first post... You write your poems ahead of time? Wow... I've posted 38, and I wrote one of them out first...
