Sweet Love

Contributed by Gentlemanpoet on Tuesday, 20th June 2006 @ 10:49:01 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

My lady fair I give to thee,
this heart and soul transcending time.
I scarce can write these feelings true,
but place them here for thee with rhyme.
Thy breath is like a fragrant breeze,
and whispers soft there on my ear.
Each day thou givest sweet love to me,
my hearts desire to keep thee near.
Thine eyes like gems, a window there,
to gaze upon thy soul.
You gave to me a life anew,
my empty heart now whole.
A path once dark my vision blurred,
you gave to me thy light.
With thy touch, my world is new,
each day I face now bright.
My love for thee beyond mere words,
in realms unknown to man.
Much more than fate, I know tis true,
all left in heavens plan.

Mine poet your words are sweet and fine,
You echo emotion in every line,
Words of love, so gentle and twee,
I wish thine words were meant for me.

What a beautiful poem.I loved it. Sue x
