It unfolded just as it should have

A night incredible events
Hidden from most all attendants
Save the single line of vision
Tunneled from you to me

Longing and nervousness both
Rested heavily on a small frame
From a growing knowledge
Of just how lost and unresponsive
My eyes have grown

For after a semester of latent stresses
Involving us on top of it all
Shown in held gazes quickly averted
And the subtle hints of actions
Slipping into online garbage dumps
It was all for a complete nothingness

Don't have a drink or a smile

Just frustration and yearning
Beyond my expressed comprehension

Feel the disgust countless others have felt
Walking downtown
Among the lights
And drunken mass
Wanting something more from this sad life

Than I could ever provide

Very nice poem... I really liked it...
For some reason it made me smile... I think that it's sad but humorous at the same time.

Perhaps I've just got a very weird kind of humour :)

Great stuff though!
