Nothing but a pauper,
A realistic fool,
Aware that love is cruel,
But prepared to make the move,
Stake a claim, perhaps lose,
But there’s so much more to gain;
Like love; wonderful but vain.

I blink within this endless gloom,
Breathing in your warm perfume,
The smell of you within these sheets,
Sweeter than the sweetest treats,
And suddenly I want you more,
Than I have ever wanted a man before,
Want you to ease this gnawing ache,
That just might cause my heart to break.

So smile for me, my anguished king,
Even when smiles do not mean a thing,
Hold me throughout this endless night,
A night full of love, and let love become light,
A light that shall guide you, pull you along,
Show you your path, tell right from wrong,
So here’s what I offer, though it might tear us apart,
Although I have nothing, I can give you my heart. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 176 [topic] => 2 [informant] => Ruby2sdy [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

And so beautifuly you give that heart along

with a most abundance of sincerity. True

poetic passion as only the heart could speak

of, and the heart of the poet herself could

reveal, with such eminance.

My Sweet Lord, I found a precious poem... Oh.. touched my soul... this writer ... love is the greatest .... better than anything you will ever encounter... and a heart full of it is richer than any gold mine. I love this poem then.. its real..
