[bodytext] => There's a point in your life where you come to an impasse Where what is one man's treasure, to another won't last. To give wisdom blindly, you waste all of your breath, Giving dull thinkers thoughts that preoccupy them to death. And gossipers whisper, sowing your seeds of destruction; Falling to the ground, you lack all the devotion That is needed for winning your soul back from them, So you plunge down to hell where unhappiness stems. You fight it, ignore it, but in the end it takes over, And you find yourself later grown many years older. Grey hair takes over, and your time's almost up, Where you stand tall and drink from death's corrupted cup. Youre sad, despondent, and you lack any cure, Because the time for redemption is up for damn sure. Your eyes grow dull, and lose that bright shine, For the need for that change has been lost down the line. There's a way still, for sure, but the ingredient's scarce: Like looking for escape through tiny, subtle tears. Tears in the fabric, with which you cover your head, To mourn the loss of friends who your words terribly fled. But you struggle onward, and use others to sustain That glorious light in your eyes you refrain From using on others, lest it all happen again, Because time's already told you not to ask "when." And drawing on life from all those around, You find reason to breathe and get off the ground. Now your back "here" again, your life almost spent; You just hope they'll listen to what you really had meant.
