Wise words never changed my mind
I began to realize
It's I against the world,
Not the world against I
I tried so hard to free
Something I never wanted to be
Hidden somewhere inside of me
Something I'm ashamed to see
Sometimes I can't wait for tomorrow
I'll sleep the night in sorrow

And in this moment
I'll forget everything that matters
While watching as tomorrow shatters

Take a breath, and step back
Let fate light the path
The flame isn't burning anymore
Listen close and think the wisest thought
Because our weal can not be bought
Clear my mind on tranquility's shore

And in this moment
I'll forget everything that matters
While watching as tomorrow shatters

Lucid_Tides- Thankyou for the comment on TOO LATE. I really appreciate all feedback. I absolutely loved this write. It was definitely emotional and the conveyed emotions are so raw.
Peace, love, and bubblegum!!!
