I scarcely believe that more than a year has passed since I entered this realm. [bodytext] => ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

From Blood Flower: 14

A flash of silver raised for a moment above their heads
A wicked looking blade that sliced down quickly
A loud triumphant cry went up from the men
They fell away, as the blade wielder lifted both arms
One hand still holding the long curved knife
In the other, Ivy’s head hung from her hair
I stood frozen for a moment in shock and despair
Then my scream of rage and anger broke the air
And the dust that had been Ivy, climbed up the alley walls

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BLOOD FLOWER ( INTERLUDE )
I am no stranger unto shadows
Though I consider them not my friends
They provide a certain cold comfort
And in their dark embrace
Do I feel at home
I have long lived beneath the eyes of many
Overlooked and unobserved, unworthy
Even of the slightest of glances
Just another neglected pet of
These city streets
I am of no more import than the wind
A near invisible presence, felt, unseen
A lesser inconvenience than rain
From which people hide inside
And seek shelter
I exist within a world apart, a darkened realm
Into which few dare delve, inhabited mostly
By others like myself and those who use
The darkness as a cloak
For purposes of ill repute
And it was there, within the shadows
I witnessed the moment that was
Destined to change my life forever
For I was present to observe
What they did to her
And much more importantly
What he did to them …
and
What I beseeched
.
.
.
He do
with ... me
Blood Flower: 15 was supposed to be titled Unleashed ... however ... a year ... tends to give one time to ponder. A new outlook, a new element, a new life ... has been Unleashed ....
The author apologizes ... he will not wait a year before returning again
this is an incredible poem, though i'm confused at what the 14 and 15 mean....... i love the imagery used and how it's dark w/o being emo or cliche, one of the best i've seen in a while
OMG Nazzy!!!! and YAY!!!! I am so glad you have started posting these again. I love
them altogether!!!
And you have not lost your touch or flare for the darkness that surrounds these perfect
black mysterious stories.
Your return is extraordinary. I love how sinister this is. Wickedly entertaining!!
THANK YOU for coming back to it!!
You'd better not wait a year to return to this!!!
Yeesh, Nazzy! I am sure I will have to read all of these again now. All of them. I have missed these writes, you know, and now, seeing another, I need to read them all.
I like this, Nazzy. But I cannot wait to see the next one.
(Get writing ;) )
*hugs*
