Leaves of an Aspen, thin tapered fingers
Elegant grace, dainty delicacy--sturdy femurs
A beauteous lady reaching heavenward,
Mirrored eyes of vigilance anchored.

Trees are like.........
Bookends to keep mountains in place.
Shading an unknown path to someplace,
Or frame a beautiful mountain painting
Trees are friends our hearts embrace.

Sentinels standing guard over glorious gold,
Ever faithful, never tire, n'er get old.
I hear their conversations though muted
Their saplings among them grow tall
they're never chided.

Nature's "Grand Opening" announcing winter
Box of grated Crayolas, Aura Borealis wonder
Can you smell it's cologne? Last rain sprawl?
'Tis Nature's last fling at Fall!

Powerful pictures! And the photos are darn good too! I can imagine we're probably lookin' at Wyoming in some of its glory. I didn't leave it out o' Code Of The West on purpose. It was just the flight o' the eagle I was ridin' in my vision.

First read o' yer work and looks like I got some 400 or so more to go. Many compliments to ya on this one, picture painter.

Another beautiful painting dear ConSue. Another beautiful poem to delight our hearts and soul. I like how you can paint the beauty of the world..well the trees anyway with you poet's pen. Words have a power of their own, to those with the time, skill and intention to perform. I can picture them even if sans the lovely photographs..in my mind's eye the picture that you painted with your words. As always, a pleasure dear Lady. May your wisdom continue to light our way...we YPDC brats tend to walk into the deep shadows as it is...LOL.. A fond farewell, until time does tell.
