An Angel's Tears

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Somewhere there is a little angel crying
Tears they fall like rain
There is a little angel crying
Although I don’t know her name

There is an angel crying all alone
In her pillow every night
Tears that fall like rain
And dim out the candlelight

She hides her pain from everyone
They make her feel like it is a disgrace
So very lonely she feels no one is there for her, lonesome tears that fall from grace

Somewhere there is little angel crying
The tears that fell like the rain
Somewhere there is an angel crying
Calling out someone’s name

She is a teenage daughter
Whose boyfriend beat her up
Tears they fall like rain
Cause all she wanted was love

Her mom doesn’t send her roses
But says it’s all her fault
So she locks the pain away
In a golden vault

There is an angel crying
In her bed at night
There is an angel crying
Because someone did not treat her right

She is only five or six
With little curly locks
Who just got hit by daddy
For tugging on his socks

Tears that are never heard
But still fall all the same
Mommy and daddy never listen
They just call her names

If pillows are like clouds
They soak up all the rain
Somewhere there is an angel crying
And her tears are all the same

She is only eight or nine
And witnessed her parents death
She cries in the darkness
Hoping it’s her final breath

She is an orphan
Her mom and dad are dead
She grew up all alone
And the words I love you, no one ever said

Somewhere there is a little angel crying
For the world that never fades away
For the pain that last a little longer
And grows day by day

She is in her room or in the rain all alone
With the rain washing away her tears
But somewhere there is a little angel crying
For everybody’s fears

She lives on a cloud and sees it all
Even when you feel so small
And cannot diminish all the pain
And every now and then
She rains

Lve the way you bounce off the analogy to different tales of heartbreak and pain! A truly moving write.

I really like the concept of this poem. But what I don't get is you say that the girl died at 8 or 9 yet earlier in the poem when she is a teenager she is talking about how her mom never sends her roses. Did I miss something? Otherwise nice write.

Natalie :)
