Hands of light

Topic: StoryPoetry

Blood spattered, covering your body,
The cries of the suffering coming forth,
Such unthinkable pain inflicted from your hands,
From your mind many were destroyed beyond death,
No matter how many bullets tore in your skin,
You would not die,
All the knifes thrust in your flesh,
You don’t go down,
“What monster is this?”
They cry!
“The devils advocate.”
Darkness in the very breath you took,
Torment, so much agony your hands bring,
But you had to survive,
Had to live another day to protect her,
Your beautiful little sister never knew,
You took on hells gats to fight,
Putting food on the table,
And paying the electric bill,
But once the poison hit your vines,
You lived only to partake in its bliss,
Cursing God, the one who made you,
But His light is greater than all this worlds darkness,
Now the blood is forgiven,
The past placed behind you,
Your eyes shining out His grace,
You feel what others are feeling,
Crying when they cry,
Laughing when they laugh,
Even when they don’t know your name,
You still care so much,
No matter what they label you,
And when you smile,
The very sun rises,
When you laugh the wind is blowing,
And when you cry the rain starts falling,
The one you cursed has blessed you,
With compassion, hope, and power,
And when I was close to giving up,
You took my hand and we went for a drive,
Showed me your heart and what I might become,
If I was to let go,
From the darkness into the light,
I’m walking, knowing you will be there,
You who’s story is more than most can take,
And who’s compassion is more than most can receive,
I want to never let go,
Of your hands of light.

This is a very inspiring perspective of Spirit put in a wonderful write. Especially:

"Had to live another day to protect her,
Your beautiful little sister never knew,"

May those "hands of light", of Brotherhood, forever guide you and hold your hand.
