My mother told me,
To be kind and thoughtful,
To everyone you see,
Be good to each person,
Any colour or creed,
Do not be dissuaded,
By anger or greed,

Do what you can,
To help them in life,
When they are suffering,
Trouble and strife,
You will be rewarded,
for this in the end,
For you will have gained
A life long friend,

So when your life is weary,
And you are feeling down,
Think how you helped others,
To turn their lives around,
So be good to yourself,
And let your friends help too,
For where would they be today,
Without a friend like you,

So to stay in this life,
Learn one vital lesson,
Be yoursef always,
It makes an impression,
For when things are bad,
Friends will be there,
To let you know always,
That they really care [comments] => 5 [counter] => 192 [topic] => 19 [informant] => jerseysue [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 20 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => InspirationalPoems )
