============================== [bodytext] => There’s a long road ahead
Be prepared for the long haul
No one said it would be easy
And far be it from me to disagree

You’d better be ready to hold me up
‘Cause when the times get tough one’s just not enough
And you better be willing to give it all
When these teenage aspirations come crashing down

But we all have to learn to fall someday
And some of us are going to learn that the hard way
Because no one seems to see the value
In what they hold until they’re letting go

Sometimes I’m scared by what I see in your eyes
Visions of a future to which I can’t subscribe
Sometimes I wonder if this is gonna last
When our foundation’s on the verge of collapse

I don’t think I’m ready to hold you up
‘Cause when the times get tough – one man’s not enough
And I don’t think I’m willing to give it all
When your teenage assumptions turn out to be false

But we all have to learn to fall someday
And some of us are going to learn that the hard way
Because no one seems to see the value
In what they hold until they’re letting go

If I could take back anything – I’d take back it all
I’d take back everything – including you
I’m sorry I’m not man enough to give you
What you deserve – I’m sorry it’s true

But we all have to learn to fall someday
And some of us are going to learn that the hard way
Because no one seems to see the value
In what they hold until they’re letting go
