Array ( [sid] => 12109 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => I Search [time] => 2003-02-07 11:30:00 [hometext] => I often question who I am and what I am about. I feel that the answer is shrouded because the meaning of life is to come at peace with ourselves. [bodytext] => Through the road of life,
Wary of dangers,
I strive to find a moment’s reverie.

I stumble in the day turned night
And fall to the ground.

I struggle on
And discover nothing but pain.

In the field of fantasy,
Consumed by fear,
I await destruction.

I lay among the flowers
And watch the sky as it passes.

I sit upon the hill
And watch the doves fly by.

The world of pain I live in
Crashes down upon itself.
I scramble to escape.

I bury my face in the ground
And pray for repentance.

I raise my hands in the air
And beg for mercy.

The dawn of hope approaches slowly.
The sun of a new day rises.
I weep in the radiance of God’s creations.

I struggle to my feet
And take the first step towards freedom.

I stumble, picking myself up,
And carry on towards inner-peace.

On the horizon of hope,
Barely peaking over,
I see the serene tranquility of joy.

I am free. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 469 [topic] => 21 [informant] => TheSpiritx [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

We all question who we are at some time or another in our lives.. But at some point...I think we come to the realisation that we are who we are..and that we all have a purpose in life... Great write..

I think it is beautiful that even in this lonely life there are flowers and doves.
