Array ( [sid] => 12108 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => The Dreamers [time] => 2003-02-07 11:00:00 [hometext] => The Dreamers is a short poem that came to me when I was pondering over what to write. It's a testament to the desire to escape from the world in dreams. [bodytext] => The Dreamers
Awaken to a world unknown.
Their Dreams
Shattered by forces unseen.
Happiness escapes them.

They’re lost
In a world of horror.
A world no longer perfect.
The truths are torturing.
They are frightened.

Their solitude,
Invaded by the reality of life,
Is destroyed.
No longer do they Dream
The tranquility we enjoyed.

We let go
Of aspirations of hope.
We drown in despair
For ourselves.
We see no other way.

Yet, like a phoenix,
Hope is reborn.
Kindled by one single person,
Spread like a raging fire,
Love rebirths the Dream.

The Dreamers
Lay at peace once more.
Their Dreams
Renewed for all to enjoy.
Happiness is restored. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 465 [topic] => 21 [informant] => TheSpiritx [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )
