THE WONDER OF IT ALL?

Through the eyes of a child, the wonder of
it all?
New born baby kittens to a sudden rainfall......
A child's mind void of knowledge wonders?
Ever searching for all the answers.

Why is the rain without color, it comes from
a blue sky?
Who turns it on, and turns it off, and why?
My dog shakes the rain off, but trees don't shake
and the rain disappears.
But where does it go? When I cry is it my tears?

I want to go outside in the rain, but my Mom says
I have to wait.
Catching cold is what rain will create.
I remember once when I danced in the rain.

I opened my mouth and felt it on my tongue,
it's smell was hard to explain?
Catch cold didn't catch me, 'cause I kept spinning
like a top,.
I opened my eyes and tried to catch every
raindrop!

Catch a cold never gets the birds, they get wet
in the rain.
Do they need the rain to grow like
flowers, and the grain?
This guy named God, who brings us the rain
why can't I see him?
I hope he stops the rain before it fills the earth
clear to the brim!

Created from
my memories as a child

Absolutely beautiful. You can always bring a smile to my face sweet lady. This write reminds me of when I was much younger. How curious I always was and how I wanted to know about anything and everything. Rain, I have always loved the smell of rain for some reason, lol. I know it sounds a little weird, but I love the smell of rain after a long hot day. Rain is like a soothing emotion that eases and calms ones heart and soul. It's like it washes away one sadness.
I so much enjoyed this beautifully ascribed poem by you dearest Mom ConSue. Penned to perfection as always. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Lots of love and rain smiles,
~*suzie Q*~

A principle function of rain is to nourish the world. For in all its many guises what it does is replenishes nature's saucers. Giving life to the earth and keeping fresh its creatures. You would argue that rain can also bring terrors and that ithides more sinister guises. But I would disagree and proposes that it is but the natural process. In its way good or bad...rain cleanses and brings renewal...in whatever form it takes. And like the rain, your works herein YPDC dear Consue are a boon to us all. It is always easy to find fresh, lively and refreshing jewels within your writes...chocful of your wise wisdom. Often I would get myself to read one of your works when I am in darksome moods for your wisdom helps to clear the clouds away at times. Here is another jewel, one that twinkles within your constellations. A write that is refreshing and full of glad tidings. I admit to have been neglecting my reads but I am glad to have read this. I do love teh smell of the grass after the rain and I do love the music you embedded within. If I am not mistaken it is used in an Ultima game...though it must be from another source actually. Cheers!
