Array ( [sid] => 12061 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Ode to a Lost Friendship [time] => 2003-02-06 18:00:00 [hometext] => My best friend and I were best friends for twelve years. We knew absolutely everything about each other and we spent so much time together. About a year ago, she found a really nice guy, and she was very happy. I was happy too, until she started to ditch me, not talk to me, and ignore me. Since then i have moved on, and found a new best friend. And just yesterday, she gave me an apology note. But it was about 6 months too late. i guess she finally realized what she had lost, but i dont think i can accept her back. [bodytext] => She's someone that I miss
Someone that once was there
Someone that knew everything about me
Someone that could read my mind
Someone that I could talk to ceaselessly
Someone who used to be concerned about me
Someone that identified with me
Someone that understood me
Someone that I used to know
That someone used to be my best friend
Where did she go?

She found a new friend
Well, more than a friend,
A guy she can't "live without"
He means more to her than anyone could
Obviously even me
Twelve years down the drain
We put so much effort into it all
We had such a strong foundation
But I feel as if she let it all fall

She tried to apologize
But it came too late
I have already moved on
I have found a new best friend
Someone who loves me and understands me
And would never do what "she's" done
This new best friend of mine
Would never ditch me for a guy
Yea, I understand he'd be her boyfriend
But our friendship would never die

Our friendship could never go back
To the way it used to be
It's too late now
Or do you not see?
You hurt me so much
I felt unwanted and unloved
I felt as if I was not good enough for you
But I guess all you need in your life is a guy
And friends don't really matter

I don't know how you feel
And I don't think I will ever understand
What was going through your mind?
When you made these decisions
All I know is I hope you're pleased
With all these decisions you've made
You've lost a very best friend
Who cared about you
And would listen to you
And talk to you
And do anything for you
And who would sit there with you
And do nothing with you and still have fun
And who tried to keep in touch when things got rough
And who tried to be there for you
And whom you just kind of ignored
And yet there's a little piece of my heart
That will love you and miss our friendship for all eternity.

I'm sorry…

Very touching story here,I think you should give her another chance maybe she was trying to pick the right moment to apologize!
It seems like you two were once great friends!
Good luck! Christina
