And lets fall a broken hope
Easily seen through saddened eyes,
Their glimmer dim, now dark
And reflecting a hint of cold.
A soul set apart, lonely...

Oppressively lonely...
Heart, now a rock, drops
As a bird to intense cold.
All gone now, hope,
Her world shades to dark,
Clouding her eyes.

And through her worried eyes
Only a single person seen - a lonely
Figure cloaked in dark.
From his hand drops
A shimmering sign of hope...
Perhaps a change from the cold.

Warmth on her mind, but again cold
And in the eyes
of the cloaked figure she sees hope
Is no longer a refuge from feeling lonely.
Figure fading and gone, And to her knees she drops
Groping for safety in the dark.

Searching for warmth in the dark
Empty-handed and futile... and cold,
Head heavy, drops
And heavy, too, her eyes
Behind them a lingering thought, "so lonely..."
And for her, a candle extinguished - hope.

Laying... cold, silent, no need now for hope.
The world around pitched into dark
Devoid of life and lonely...
Itself wishing for something to ease the cold.
The moon's steady gaze reflecting in her eyes,
Open now forever, halfway through frozen tear drops.

Her hope - failed savior against cold.
Night sky, though dark, extending to her eyes
Fingers of God, those lonely raindrops and drops and drops...

Beautiful incorporation of nature,
God, and feelings of loneliness.
I really like this poem, but sadly,
I hope this girl is someone who
lives in your mind rather than
actually exists. It sounds like she is
going through quite the struggle
right now. Once again, another
wonderful write.
