How will you stand when the winds of trouble blow your way
Tall and straight to face the force
Or swept away by the harsh gusts of circumstances

How will you stand when the winds of calm blow softly at you
With your back to the breezes of love
Or opened armed to catch the waves of softness

How will you stand when the intermittent winds strike
Side steeping each pounding and pounding blow
Or tackling each swatch with your own inner force

How will you stand when the lull of kindness lingers in the distance
Standing staring wishing for it to come your way
Or walking towards it to await the cool flow of friendship

The winds of life will blow constantly towards you
Of which you cannot harness
How will you stand is your greatest choice
So plant your feet and root yourself in strength
From the greatest force of all
Or crumple and topple from your own week structure

HOW WILL YOU STAND

Your kid is pretty lucky to have you write him a poem. I'm surprised the teacher didn't suspect that you wrote it because its so good.

Apparently, your son's teacher knows good poetry... I'm not surprised that it got an A.

Very good poem. Inspiring!
